Journal

I bought a really pretty journal at Barnes and Noble the other day. I love it. Writing and drawing in it is one of my favorite things to do. I'll pick it up multiple times in one day just to write down what's going on and to sketch a fun picture. Journals are the best. *sigh*
Have a great day!

Pencil Drawing

I was feeling inspired one evening. So instead of doing school, I decided to draw. :-) My banner is the end result. I'm very happy with it!

Illustrating

I love illustrations. I want to be an illustrator. I really like Pauline Baynes, E. H. Shepard, and Kate Seredy(Especially her drawings in the Good Master).  I always wanted to develop a "style"of my own so I started copying artwork of the illustrators I just listed. Recently I found I could start drawing characters on my own! I'm really excited. Here are the drawings I did recently.
Have a good week!

More crafting and stuff

The fall leaves are going. :( It's cold but I like it. HPA has been fun. The dancing is really cool. Here's some more crafting:

And this amazing kitchen! My sister took a picture of it when
she went to see an old mansion that's been turned into a museum.

Have a great week!

fairy princess

I first made these fairies from a Klutz kit I once got for Christmas. Now we just use items that we bought separately. What I used: Faux flowers, embroidery floss, wire( for this fairy I used artistic wire), wooden bead, and glue. The crown was part of a fake flower.

Finally!!!!

For everyone who follows my blog, I'm so sorry for how long its taken to get pictures up. Here they are, though! I made this doll while we were camping at Ludington State Park this past Fall. I made the legs and arms by bending a pipe cleaner into shape while wrapping it with embroidery floss. The dress is wool felt. I embroidered it before sewing it on the doll. Lastly, I put on the head. The face is drawn with a felt tip Sharpie. Abby took the pictures in the woods behind the camp site.
